Berlin, January 15, 2025 – Teldex Studio Berlin GmbH, one of Europe’s most renowned destinations for high-quality music productions, has secured its succession by entrusting the studio to the next generation of sound engineers. Long-time team members Wolfgang Schiefermair and Benedikt Schröder are stepping into roles as new shareholders. The company founders and producers Friedemann Engelbrecht and Martin Sauer will continue to support the company as recording producers and advisors. Engelbrecht and Sauer state: „After 23 successful years of built up and development of the company in an ever-changing market we are looking forward to passing on the responsibility to our experienced and ambitious long-term colleagues and partners.“ Acting as a bridge is René Möller, who has been a shareholder since 2010.

The new shareholders – René Möller, Wolfgang Schiefermair, and Benedikt Schröder – are experienced Tonmeisters who have shaped the studio’s identity over many years. They are highly regarded by artists and international labels alike for their outstanding productions, distinguished by precision, artistic sensitivity, and an unmistakable sound aesthetic.

This generational shift underscores Teldex Studio’s commitment to both continuity and innovation. “Our goal is to carry forward the tradition of legendary recordings while responding to the industry’s new challenges,” explains Managing Director René Möller. “Streaming, video content, and high-quality 3D audio productions represent the future, and we aim to actively shape these trends with our expertise and cutting-edge technology.”

Teldex Studio Berlin features a unique recording hall that attracts musicians from around the world, as well as an extensive collection of vintage microphones and state-of-the-art equipment. This is complemented by the expertise and the unmistakable signature sound of the currently twelve-member team. “Our technical setup and the extensive experience of our team allow us to deliver top-tier recordings, regardless of genre or musical style,” adds Wolfgang Schiefermair.

Benedikt Schröder, who is also joining the management team, emphasizes, “High-quality, short music films in CD sound quality for social media offer artists new opportunities to present their music in a modern and professional way. These formats are becoming increasingly popular, and we see great potential for Teldex Studio in this area.”
